Vlog#14 Low levels=Small fish...

It's been a very dry spring here, and it shows , especially these small rivers. I haven't been back on this stretch for quite some time, i was expecting low water but not that low!
We had one good night of rain two days ago, but it does not show on the water. The land  being so dry sucked it all up and nothing went down the waterways.
I fished small flies, as it's not uncommon to tempt a big perch or even a large trout. Pikes in these conditions , bright, hot and low water rather eat a snack than a full three course meal.
I did not see any large fish this time, i think they have pushed on the lower part of the river where it gets deep, and even pushed as far as the few big loughs that are fed by these rivers.
Now only one thing to do, wait for rain, or fish deeper venues. The forecast is for hot and dry weather, so i will get the boat very soon!
